The Nazarbayev University Library successfully organized the 9th Eurasian Academic Libraries Conference (EALC) from September 30 – October 2, 2020, and Mikro Information Handling and Distribution FZE was one of the main sponsors. The conference was completely virtual and was able to reach more than 200 active participants from 26 countries during the three-day event.
With the theme “Alive to Changes: Engage. Embrace. Ensure.”, this year’s theme was very timely as libraries transform to adapt to changes.
The Conference features distinguished researchers and engaging speakers. The conference was a venue for scientific discussion, constructive exchange of information, best practices, and lessons, through oral and poster presentations. Topic included: Impact of Academic Libraries on Individuals, Communities, Societies, Digital Transformation: Partnership, Innovations, and Applications, Green Libraries & Sustainable Development. In addition, a range of special workshops and lightning talks aim to attract participants to wider issues of future-ready libraries and library professionals.
Mikro Information Handling and Distribution FZE introduced the most popular electronic resources during challenging times like the pandemic and how to prepare for the new normal via them. (Click here for presentation)
